N. cantabricus from Spain x Emerald Sea
Here are the first three seedlings of this cross flowering in the greenhouse. It is a great surprise that the first and the second seedling produce some sprouting unreduced pollen.
Not daffodils, but blooming today
Helleborus niger is in bloom, again thanks to our mild autumn. It’s nice to see bloom when everything else is brown and dry.

This bulbocodium is from seed sent to me by Lawrence Trevanion in 2005. There are 3 blooms this year. It was from his 01/18B. Lawrence will have to supply the breeding. :-) It’s has a smaller flower than ‘Yuletide’.
