N. assoanus with many unreduced pollen grains

Larry and all,

My best seedlings exist in my imagination only , whereas Brian’s are reality.

The two N. assoanus from Villarluengo in the pictures are flowering in my greenhouse. The first has more than 30 % viable unreduced pollen. In most cases you find for species no or  sometimes up to 1 % unreduced pollen. For crosses with tetraploid garden daffodils I hope to get apart from allotriploids   allotetraploids too, like Quick Step and Hillstar, but smaller and with different colours.

The second N. assoanus has a long style and can easily be pollinated. I tried it this time with pollen of Actaea x N. viridiflorus.
