Forcing daffodils for a July wedding

I am posting a request we received on the ADS Facebook page. I found some previous responses here on daffnet.org when I searched for “Timing pots of bulbs for bloom” (with the quotes), but with the increased use of forced pots of daffodils in recent years, I hope someone might have something new to contribute to the topic. Thanks for any new comments.

“Hello! We need some advice! We are getting married on the 13th of July and we wanted to plant our own wild flowers, specifically daffodils, for the ceremony. We have looked all over the internet for instructions on how to force bloom, and we’ve had many results but not one site mentioned how long it takes for them to bloom, nor how long they stay in bloom and that’s what we really need to know. We live in Italy and it can get very hot in the summertime. Should we plant them indoors or can they be planted outside with the heat? Will the heat make them bloom faster? Is there a time that is better to cut them so they stay open for longer in the vase? Thanks very much!!
