Heirloom Daffodils: ID Help Needed

Friends:
One of the participants in a garden walk I led last weekend at historic Filoli Gardens is hoping to identify a bloom remaining from his Mom’s time (and he’s older than I am).  His history, and some photos, follow.  I’d be most appreciative if you’d reply with any ideas you might have about its name.  It may be easier than some of these inquiries, because it is doubled, rather than a 2Y-Y!
Thanks in advance,
Melissa

You could reply to this post, or email me.

From his message:

…  Since I was forgetful in bringing my flower specimen yesterday, I have taken a few pictures of this daffodil and a bit of its history.

My Mom and her first husband bought an acre of property in Atherton in 1922 from John T. Doyle, (who acquired a large parcel, 89 acres, of land in 1868). I really don’t know how the bulbs got on this property. Her husband and my mom’s two brothers were all care takers for some of the large estates in the area, James Flood, Donohoe, and Doyle. They could have gotten the bulbs from any of these estates.   …

  1. Apologies for the second instance of one of the photos.  I couldn’t figure out from Preview whether or not the photos were there, and then couldn’t figure out how to delete the second copy I’d uploaded.  Oy Vey.

  2. Nancy may well be right but how about the possibility of Twink?

Someone from Britain would have the best idea I am sure.
