Below is a photo of my original Miniature Selection which became: ‘Edgedin Gold’ 7W/Y-Y. It has a half length yellow picotee edge to the petals. I’ve continued to work and make crosses to intensify the picotee edge as I find it different and distinctive. I’ve selfed ‘Edgedin Gold’ a number of times trying to get both deeper color and a more stable picotee. I’ve also used a very fine, wide, smooth third generation of N. jonquilla crossed for form.
The top photo is of: V07-80-4 (32mm) = [(Edgedin Gold x Self) x (N. jonquilla super reselect x Edgedin Gold)]. It has a color code of: 7W/Y-Y. The primary goals were met in this Selection. It is noticably wider with a better form and deeper contrast.
