Belated greetings from the Oregon Daffodil Society. These 2 messages document our society’s third and final show of the year, on April 13-14, 2013, held at the Albany Main Library. My thanks to Len Weber for supplying the photographs, and to Peggy Tigner and Margaret Pansegrau, show chairmen, for sharing the show report.

The Gold Ribbon (for best standard daffodil in the show, excluding the Container and Historic sections) went to “American Classic” 2-Y-WYY, exhibited by Barbara Weber.
The Rose Ribbon (for best standard seedling, excluding the Container section) went to a descendant of the above cultivar, QH 24/1 (American Dream x American Classic) 2 Y-P, exhibited by Elise Havens.
The Mini Gold Ribbon (for best miniature) went to Chit Chat 7-Y-Y, exhibited by Dona Townsend.
The White Ribbon (for best set of 3) went to Duration 4-W-OOY, exhibited by David Smith.
The Youth Best Bloom was awarded to Mission Bells 5W-W, exhibited by Christopher Birch.
The Small Grower award (for exhibitors who grow 50 or fewer cultivars) was given to Sally Sprenger for her bloom of Lingerie 4 W-Y.
The award for best bloom in the Historic Section went to Limerick 3 W-R (1938), exhibited by Dona Townsend. [No picture]
Limerick 3 W-R (1938) also took the Historic 3 Stems award, this time exhibited by Margaret Pansegrau.
The Best Single Stem in the Classic Section went to Broomhill 2 W-W (1965), exhibited by Peggy Tigner. This bloom was abstracted from her winning collection of 5 Classic cultivars.
The Best Intermediate Award went to Tri Angeles 11a Y-P, exhibited by Peggy Tigner. [no picture]
The ribbon for Best Intermediate Set of 3 went to David Smith for Birthday Girl, 2 W-GWW.
The Silver Ribbon (for exhibitor with the most ADS blue ribbons) was won by Dona Townsend, with an impressive 24 blues.
