The American Daffodil Society would like to invite ADS Members and their guests to attend the Fall Board Meeting Event of the American Daffodil Society in Tucson, Arizona this October 18-20. While the main purpose in years past has been ADS Board business, in recent years these events have included wonderful symposiums. This years’ event, planned by Chriss Rainey, will highlight the desert scenery, flora and fauna. Of course, each fall Board meeting is also another excuse to gather with daffodil friends! We hope some of you, Board members or not, will join us in Tucson, Arizona this October! More information will be included in the June Daffodil Journal.

Make travel plans to arrive for dinner at 7:00 on Friday night. After the Board meeting on Saturday there will be tour with a tram ride to the top of Sabino Canyon, a “natural desert oasis located in Tucson’s Coronado National Forest and home to spectacular desert landscapes and abundant wildlife.” You can get on and off the tram at any or all of the nine stops and hike if you like. Sunday will feature a trip to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, a world-renowned zoo, natural history museum and botanical garden where “you will see more than 300 animal species and 1,200 kinds of plants…with 2 miles of paths traversing 21 acres of beautiful desert.” You may wish to extend your stay to see more of Tucson and the American Southwest!
