Dear All,
Due to the late season today we had one of the best Pie Eaters Shows ever with 11 exhibitors, 152 exhibits, which consisted of 239 staged flowers.
Winner of the 6 bloom Championship was Keith Capper with Chin Doll, Happy Valley, Gwalia, Evesham, Chanson and Bradbury Rings, this was also accorded Best Exhibit in Show.
Keith also won Best bloom in show with his bloom of Chanson 1W-P
New Pie Eater Eddie Crithley travelled from Derbyshire to take Best Vase of 3 with Dailmanach 2W-P from a class with 29 exhibits
Friend Len Tomlinson entered the Championship with 6 historic doubles: Great Leap 1923, Apotheosis 1915, Inglescombe 1912, Twink 1925, Acropolis 1955 and Helios (Sport) 1950.
The worst bloom in the show was won by a Yorkshireman who sent his amazing Liverpool Festival 2Y-R along with his friend Eddie Crithley for consideration. so well done John Freea, we hope you will come an defend your title as worst daffodil in show winner 2013 in 2014. your prize is on it’s way.
Judge Derek Philips worked his socks off taking over 2 hour to judge the show, so thank to him also for a job well done.
My plan is to post picture as I know many of you look forward to seeing the Worst daffodil in show each year.!
