We are sad to announce the death of long time ADS member, Irene Moseley.  The obituary, from the Columbus, OH Dispatch newspaper is below. Irene was also an active member of the Central OH Daff Soc (CODS) and had been a Chair for CODS daffodil garden at Whetstone Park.

Irene Moseley, age 89, born in Newton Falls, OH, passed away June 7, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Preceded in death by parents John and Mary Vanda, husband Dwight Moseley, son Seth, brothers John and Andrew Vanda, sisters Margaret Schwab and Mary Weekley. Survived by daughters, Avalee McCoy (Terry) and Deborah Smith; grandchildren, Heather, Trevor McCoy, Samuel and Bud Moseley; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Kiley; as well as many nieces and nephews. Irene was an anesthesiologist. She took both her R.N. and Military Cadet Training at Mt. Carmel during WWII in 1947. She retired from the Ohio School of the Deaf in 1992. Irene was a founding member of North Community Lutheran Church, a member of The American Daffodil Society and Central Ohio Daffodil Society. She was also on the committee for city planning under Mayor Lashutka. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Friends may call Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the WEIR-AREND FUNERAL HOME, 4221 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214 (3 blocks S. of Henderson Rd.) Service will be held Friday 10 a.m. at North Community Lutheran Church, 114 Morse Rd., Columbus, OH 43214. Pastor Chris Adams officiating.
