Dear All,

The San Francisco data center staff plan to move the American Daffodil Society (ADS) server to a new location in the same facility tomorrow July 23rd. The ADS server will be powered down for several hours for this move. All websites and listservers hosted on the ADS server will not be available during this period of time.

We plan to shut the server down about 10am PDT (Pacific Daylight Time) which is -8 hours GMT. After the move, Ben plans to do some offline diagnostics which may run several hours. If all goes well the server will be back early evening our time.

Many thanks for your patience,

Ben and Nancy
ADS Internet Services Co-Chairs

The server move progressed very well and the staff at the data-center were very professional and wanted feedback on any problems we might have had.

I ran diagnostics for two hours after the move and the server passed all tests.

The status is healthy , available, and ready for normal use.

    Enjoy 🙂
