Concern

Hi Folks,

This posting is mainly aimed at New Zealand readers but also highlights an area of concern to others.

Last night Greg Inwood contacted me and mentioned that some New Zealand daffodil medals were for sale on Trade Me. They are a David Bell Bronze medal and a David Adams medal offered for $30 each. As both of these medals are relatively new I can’t see any collector’s value for them.

I have been through the list of Bronze Medal winners and can’t see any one there who would have allowed their medal to become available for sale. Thus I can only assume that these medals have been procured by some foul means. Maybe someone can enlighten me more or advise a possible course of action. Personally I was gutted to think that someone would want to make profit from the medals I offer for competition. Even more reason to be suspicious.

  1. I tried to contact you last night also David and have passed the trade me listing on to Denise. Maybe  the trader should be contacted.

  2. Folks, you will be pleased to know that I now have both the medals sitting on our lounge table. It was actually a NDS Gold Medal that was for sale. The only place the two medals could have been together was at the company who minted the medals. I will be seeing them tomorrow. Thanks to Malcolm Wheeler for flushing out the errant seller.
