Just a few from the Northern Daffodil Club Late Show , held Saturday 5 October .Thanks Andrew Jenkins for your photos and Open grade judge Wilfred Hall for the Champion Bloom photo . Champion Bloom was a large , smooth , CAPE POINT ,from Andrew Jenkins .This is rather fitting as Andrew had the original stock of Cape Point , courtesy of his year working with Brian Duncan and has played a large part in the distribution of this fine late pink , particularly throughout the North Island .It has had great success at many of the late shows .
Andrew won the Amateur 9 blooms , showing a few interesting seedlings . TRANQUIL IMAGE , OHURAS MAYOR , CAPE POINT ;**2013 3Y – Y CHORTLE SDLG , 2013 CAPE POINT SDLG , 06 – 57 CITRONITA SDLG , -; ** KIWI HAPPY PRINCE , 06 – 46 3 Y – YYO SDLG , MOON SHADOWS
Interesting to see a 3y – y seedling .plenty of room for new flowers here , particularly early mid season .
Andrew was also first in the 6 bloom class , again with two nice seedlings . CAMEO MAGIC , 06 – 58 EGMONT KING X ENTENTE ;** 06 2Y – O SDLG , ICE DANCER ; ** EVESHAM , OHURAS MAYOR .
The Open 3 pinks was a nice winning vase . TRANQUIL IMAGE , 2 X CAPE POINT .
The Premier white backed double was a fine CAMEO MAGIC , a good example of this fine show double that was awarded a NDS FCC at the recent Nelson National show .Well done Andrew. .
Lovely flowers of Andrews, particularly liked the Chortle seedling.
