New ADS Display Garden Beaver Creek, Ohio

The following note was sent to me via e-mail and I thought it should be shared.  George McGowan has worked diligently to help this project along and  kudos go to him.

=====================================================

I want to thank the American Daffodil Society for officially recognizing the daffodil display garden at Fifth Third Gateway Park in Beavercreek, Ohio.  This garden was planted and is maintained by the Greene County Master Gardener volunteers working in conjunction with the City of Beavercreek’s Parks, Recreation, and Culture Department.  The volunteers constructed a 60-by-20-foot triangular bed and planted and labeled more than 400 bulbs, representing 78 daffodil varieties.

Fifth Third Gateway Park is a small but heavily used park at the junction of Dayton-Xenia Road and the Creekside Trail bike path in Beavercreek, Ohio.  The Greene County Master Gardener program, currently with 135 members, is part of the Ohio State University extension services.

Again, thank you for this recognition.
