Here are all the winners of ADS awards for miniatures.

Miniature Gold Ribbon and Miniature Rose Ribbon; 10-32-01 10Y-Y exhibited by Jon Kawaguchi

Miniature Gold Ribbon and Miniature Rose Ribbon

The Miniature Gold Ribbon is for the best miniature daffodil in the show excluding the Container Section. The Miniature Rose Ribbon is for the best miniature seedling exhibited by its originator excluding the Container Section. Winner of both ribbons was 10-32-01 10Y-Y (‘Connie Greenfield’ x ‘Lee Martin’) exhibited by Jon Kawaguchi.

Miniature White Ribbon

The Miniature White Ribbon is for the best set of 3 miniatures in the show. The winner was Vinisky V01-65 5Y-Y exhibited by Jon Kawaguchi.

Lavender Ribbon; Exhibited by Kirby Fong

Lavender Ribbon

The Lavender Ribbon is for the best collection of 5 miniatures excluding the class for 5 American-bred miniatures. The flowers in the winning collection are: N. cazorlanus 13Y-Y, ‘Clay’s Gold’ 10Y-Y, ‘Crevette’ 8W-O, ‘Montongo Group’ 10Y-Y, ‘Big Baby’ 10Y-Y. The exhibitor was yours truly. Fortunately, judging was early while the flowers were still in decent shape. This photo was taken later when one of the flowers had started wilting. At least it wilted symmetrically!

Bankhead Ribbon; Exhibited by Nancy Wilson

Bankhead Ribbon

The Bankhead Ribbon is for the best collection of 9 miniatures from at least 3 RHS divisions. The flowers in the winning collection are: Back row: ‘Bebop’ 7Y-Y, ‘Segovia’ 3W-Y, ‘Sundial’ 7Y-Y, ‘Xit’ 3W-W; Front row: N. calcicola 13Y-Y, N. willkommii 13Y-Y, N. dubius 13W-W, ‘Angel’s Whisper’ 5Y-Y, N. rupicola 13Y-Y. The exhibitor was Nancy Wilson.

The Watrous Award is for the best collection of 12 miniature daffodils from at least 3 RHS divisions. The exhibitor was Jon Kawaguchi. By the way, the MS142 is Michael Salmon’s accession number. He used to hunt for species in the wild which he brought home to England to propagate at his nursery.

3 Miniatures by Hybridizer Ribbon

This ribbon is for the best set of three different miniature daffodils hybridized and originated by the exhibitor. The flowers in this winning entry are: 05-115-01 10Y-Y, 07-15-01 10Y-Y (N. bulb. var. tenuifolius x N. bulb. var. serotinus), 07-21-03 10Y-Y (N. bulb. var. viriditubus MS142 x N. bulb. var. tenuifolius). The exhibitor was Jon Kawaguchi.
