Daffodil Seeds

Hi All,
I have planted the seed from this year’s crop, and have some left over. I don’t have as many as in the past as I have learned my lesson, when in Maryland I seldom got Open Pollinated seeds so I seldom dead headed. However, in my area of the NC, the “bald-face” hornet is very active in daffodils “hybridizing” so I have learned to dead-head again.

The Seed that I have mostly are from the species jonquil family and are miniatures. jonquil is very prone to self pollinating so I have no doubt that these will breed true:

N. fernandesii var fernandesii
N. fernandesii var cordubensis (and we used to just call it N. cordubensis.

Clay’s Gold 10Y-Y X Open Pollinated registered as a standard.
Classic Gold 10Y-Y X Open Pollinated.

Let me know if you want them I have about enough for one batch each. I will need a snail-mail address.

  1. Yes I’d like some seeds.  last year you sent me some and they did great.  Still some life in the seedlings showing.  Are you or any aspiring  daffodil breeder in any of my op seeds.  I collect so many and would love to get some new breeders a head start.
