Just turned on the news to learn of a magnitude 6 earthquake in Napa Valley, CA. Just because the news people named the area Napa Valley, I am sure that many of our friends in the area experienced the 15 seconds of rock and roll. I hope that our friends in the area are okay with little or no damage to their property and no injuries to themselves

Bob Johnson, our daffodil enthusiast who lives in Napa, reported that he and his family are OK and that their home came through this quake without damage. If you know Bob, It is no surprise that he then went outside and checked on his neighbors. Those of you who attended the 2010 Convention might remember Bob and his beautiful daffodils.
Ben and I live approximately 30 miles from Napa and abruptly woke up this morning to a shaking bedroom and to the rattle of items on shelves. Only a few things fell to the floor.
