Our supply of mesh bags is in need or replenishment. Can you recommend a good (inexpensive, fast) source for the ones which will hold 1 to 6 bulbs?

George, Marcus-James supplies regional daffodil and other plant societies mesh bags of all sizes. They are a St. Louis-based company, and they ship wherever there is an order. Please mention that the Greater Saint Louis Daffodil Society referred you.
Two weeks ago I purchased a 4,000′-roll of the “heavy green plastic netting” green mesh; I can cut it to any length I like. The nice thing about these mesh bags is they can easily be washed, sanitized, and re-used, over and over. For those who receive bulbs from PHS Daffodils, this is the mesh I use. It is expansive, strong, ties and unties easily, and is virtually indestructible.
All best,
Jason
George – We get our mesh bags from Marcus and James made here in DeSoto, Missouri. They sell by the hundred but we usually get at least 1,000 so they last through many bulb sales and exchanges. The phone is 636-586-1850 and they can tell you which bags are the best price. We just got 24 inch bags so we can cut them in half and tie a knot to make them go twice as far. We’ve been using them for over 10 years. They ship the same day, too.

George,
I think I miss understood you. I sent you a source for plastic “onion” type bags.
But for 1 -6 bubs for a bulb exchanges go to: http://www.walmart.com/ip/BAG-PAPERGROCERY-1-KRAFT/32543822
They have Number 1 brown Bags that I use to fill bulbs for the bulb exchange. Not to large and not to small. They come in bundles of 500 and will ship in about 2 or 3 days. The price is $7.99 for 500 plus shipping. I caught them when they were shipping free, but that is not always the case.
