From Janie and David Vaughan:
Those of you attending the ADS Convention in Virginia in April will find yourselves within our special “Historic Triangle.” You will be in the 18th century British colonial capital, Williamsburg, with its interactive revolutionary goings-on! Six miles from Williamsburg is the first permanent English settlement in the New World (and the beginning of the British Empire)! “Historic Jamestowne” is the actual archaeological site of the 1607 fort (and later town). Yes, Pocahontas was there! Nearby is “Jamestown Settlement,” with its reconstructed fort and 3 ships. The 3rd triangle point is the town of Yorktown, where Gen. Cornwallis surrendered to Gen. Geo. Washington, after 5 years of the war for America’s independence.

To plan your visit, go online to learn more—then, stay a bit longer, and enjoy our Triangle!
