N. jonquilla minor x N. elegans

N. jonquilla minor N. elgans

Today I crossed these two plants to get nice seedlings. Some of these shall produce unreduced pollen which can be of great interest for combining them with tetraploid standard daffodils. A project for about 12 years which  will be successful when the crosses develop seeds.

  1. Hello Theo,

One thing is for sure, both of the parents you are using are beautiful. If you get seed set, the seedlings are bound to be very nice and interesting. If fertile, yes, they could be very useful in future crosses. I hope you have good luck with the cross. I look forward to seeing blooms from it in the future. Thanks for posting.

    Regards,

    Larry

  2. Hi Theo

If any of the seedlings are miniature and have colour in the corona, then PLEASE, PLEASE register them and chip them. We are so short of miniatures with colour.
