Daffodil Friends,
Here are some photos of daffodils blooming in my daffodil patch today (January 8). The first two photos are of an unregistered viridiflorus seedling from Manuel Lima. Fast-increasing, long-lasting blooms, these have been in bloom for a month. Their lack of distinction has caused me to call them “Lima Ordinaire.”
The next photos are of Koopowitz’ ‘Tequila Sunrise’ a group with several clones which in my garden bloom over a nearly two-month period . This clone has been blooming for a month.
The next bloom is Manuel Lima’s ‘Limanade.’ Manuel had it marked as likely ‘Jetfire’ x viridiflorus but possibly ‘El Camino’ x viridiflorus.
Here is ‘Lima’s Winter Moon’ – ‘Easter Moon’ x viridiflorus
Harold Koopowitz made a excellent cross: ‘Habit’ x ‘Emerald Sea’. Here are blooms of several seedlings that resulted. Perhaps I can convince him to register these as a group.
Finally, blooms of various viridiflorus seedlings of mine. These are first-generation viridiflorus seedlings; my second-generation seedlings will be blooming in the next month.
