East Tennessee Daffodil Society Show Special Award

Hello all my fellow Daffodil enthusiasts.

An announcement was made towards the end of staging to remember all of those fellow daffodil fanciers who have crossed from this life to the next, since the last season. Some of those highly visible names were quoted as well as some of the not so highly visible but equally remembered.

The announcement quoted a Georgia Daffodil society member who passed last October 12th in his home of Alpharetta Georgia. Quoted as a GDS passed president, 1st and 2nd vice president, Show chair and major cheerleader for all aspiring growers, exhibitors and judges and at the age of 79 became and accredited ADS judge. He won many ADS ribbons over the years, one of which was the Gold Ribbon in this very show with a beautiful stem of intrigue which was shown on the over of the ADS Journal.

The announcement quoted that an award of a Lennox full lead crystal vase would be awarded to the winner of the ADS Standard White ribbon in Memory of Captain John Lipscomb.

The winning entry was Lapwing exhibited by Nancy Robinson.

*** Update *** We realize that this flower is not lapwing.
