For the first time in a few years we had a small gathering in Neil’s shed for a Late Show to finish the season, followed by afternoon tea and a good chat. After a late start to the season the temperatures soared following the South Island National Show. It was great to see Arch Crerar, from Nelson winning Champion Bloom at the SI Show with a lovely large Blossom Lady 4W-O. At our late Show Mike Smith’s excellent Tranquil Image 2W-P was selected as Champion Bloom from the other 98 stems exhibited. Here is a photo of Mike’s Tranquil Image and Arch’s Blossom Lady. The winning blooms were later gathered up and taken to our dear friend Kevin Kerr who has recently had to move into care due to deteriorating health.
