Wilfred Hall and I had arranged to have morning coffee with a mutual friend on Monday morning , 14 DECEMBER.
I’m sure it is December, almost the longest day, but Wilfred produced a pot with a just opened jonquilla, flowering happily.
7W – P , PINK SETTING, Mitsch / Havens, reg 2005, first flowered 1972 , Quickstep O P .
A very neat little flower , 2 heads , flowers about 2 inch / 50 mm. Pale buffy pinky yellow tones in cup.
Wilf said it opened with a yellowish off white perianth but soon went milky white. A typical jonquilla fragrance .
Seems quite happy in it’s pot , – multiplying steadily . He said thanks Bob.
There is late and very late – definitely very late.
Oh, the potential from this new seedling!!!
There are no photos of Pink Setting in DaffSeek. This could be the first.
It’s kind of nice to have very early or very late daffodils to bloom, fall and winter blooming daffodils also.
Thanks for posting.
