  1. Thanks for the information, Fermi.  Sounds worth pursuing.

  2. Amazon UK say pre-order now for delivery in January 2017! Sounds an interesting book as do her other subjects.

  3. I found a seller online, but they only ship to Australia and New Zealand.  http://www.booktopia.com.au/daffodil-helen-o-neill/prod9780732299200.html

  4. Hi Rose,

Thanks for that link – as we’re in Australia I was able to order it (as well as a few others!) and should take delivery in a week or so. If possible I’ll give my “review” of of it when I get a chance to read it,

    cheers

  5. A  very  different , well  researched ,  book   on  our  favourite  flower .                                                             Available  in  New Zealand from  the  Paper  Plus  chain  of  bookstores  ,  price  N Z  $ 39 – 99                     The  research  involved  on  such  a  wide  range  of  daffodil  related  topics ,  from  history  , genetics  and  early  personalities  ,  is  impressive . Conversations  with current  breeders  Harold  Koopowitz  and  John  Hunter  and  Ron  Scamp  give  a  view  on  our  possible  future  objectives .Daffnet  and  Daffseek  obviously  impressed  the  author  and  ,as  we  all  know  ,  are  of  great  assistance  on  both  historic  and  current  daff  research . Very  well  illustrated  , particularly  some  of  the  older  plate  prints  and  early  photographs . Well  worth  a  read , quite  a  different  style  from  most  Daffodil books .  Publishers  are  Harper  Collins .

    Cheers  John .
