2016 Final Show Photos – SWODS Dayton Ohio Show

Well Folks we come to my final show photos for this 2016 season. Before the Columbus cancellation, I was planning on a record number of 8 shows to visit.

This has been another one for the record books. The season was undoubtedly kind for the flowers except for a stretch of about 10 days where Cincinnati temps got into the mid 80s and zapped all the substance from the flowers that were open at the time.

The season being so early gave the SWODS show a chance to see the very late flowers that normally don’t see a show. It’s a good thing that Mary Lou saved a lot of flowers because most of us closer to Cincinnati had none left. Some of the northern most members had some good entries and the Wilsons from Ky brought some excellent specimens and were considered for the white ribbon.

And so we close another season and I’ll need my anti-depressants again after Yellow Fever is gone. :-(

  1. Tom, you can always hop a plane and come up to the Minnesota show this coming weekend (May 14-15)!  We would love to have you visit some time – this year or another.  We are indeed the final show of the season.  Our spring was also very early, so we have been refrigerating like mad.  We’ll have plenty of blooms!

    The SWODS Dayton Show was fantastic!  The 1880’s barn is a great venue and well worth repeating.

    The blooms enjoyed the naturally cooled enviroment. The group did a great job and I am sure the

    public enjoyed the exhibit.

    Tom is to be congradulated is his efforts of documenting the exhibits and  making it possibile for the

    Daffnet subcribers to see and enjoy the results of the shows.
