Some miniature 2yr old seedling bulbs from inter-species crosses.

Some miniature 2yr old seedling bulbs from inter-species crosses. Each
tells a story about depth of planting, the elongated ones have really been
trying to achieve a depth to which one or both parents are accustomed in the
wild.

Just checking if I can post using Ben’s new e-mail system.

  1. Why is it  that N. cyclamineus  x N. rupicola   produced “lovely little flowers” while the other crosses such N. jacetanus x N. scaberulusas which are just as elongated were too shallow?

  2. The lovely little flowers were from the same cross made several years ago. The pictures represent 2 yr old seedlings that have not flowered yet.
