Hi
We have very late flowering N. rupicola flowering at the moment. From recollection it seems much later than normal. There are lots of different forms in the one pot. After seeing the article on rupicola seedlings I decided I would do a little extra hybridising. Hopefully I won’t have to wait 9 years to see the result. Here it takes 9 years to get flowers on N. dubius. We have done some hybridising in recent years with both N. rupicola and N. rupicola ssp watieri. I would have thought the easiest route to white petals would be via watieri. It flowers earlier than our late flowering form of N. rupicola. We still had pollen in our refrigerator and since we grow a lot of intermediates it was not difficult finding some good pollen. I have attached a couple of photos of some rupicola seedlings that have flowered for us this year.
