We continue with the results of the 2018 Fortuna, California show with the ADS awards for miniature daffodils. These are in show report order, omitting awards for which there was no winning exhibit.
The Miniature Gold Ribbon is for the best miniature in the show excluding the Container-Grown Section. The winner was ‘Megalon’ 10Y-Y exhibited by Jon Kawaguchi. ‘Megalon’ is an unregistered cultivar bred by Jon. The daffodil’s seedling number is JBK 05-22-01, and it’s parentage is Zinkowski 93-30 x N. bulb. var. conspicuus.
The Miniature Rose Ribbon is for the best miniature seedling (excluding the Container-Grown Section) exhibited by its originator. The winner is JBK 06-24-01 (N. bulb. var. tenuifolius x N. bulb. var. nivalis) exhibited by Jon Kawaguchi.
The Miniature White Ribbon is for the best set of 3 miniatures in the show. The winner was ‘Crevette’ 8W-O exhibited by Bob Spotts.
The Miniature Red-White-Blue Ribbon is for the best collection of 5 American-bred miniatures. The winning flowers are:
