As indicated by Andrew Carrington we have a Post Convention 2020 tour planned for the South Island of New Zealand. The tour will be arranged by Aaron Russ and his company Wild Earth Travel.
The basics of the tour will be to fly to Christchurch, probably on Tuesday 21st after the Convention.
Wednesday 22nd travel via Pleasant Valley daffodils to Oamaru where we will give you a special New Zealand only nature surprise.
Thursday 23rd return to Christchurch stopping to view a couple of daffodil patches on the way. Lunch at Templeton Daffodils.
Friday 24th free day in Christchurch. Game of golf, Kaikoura Whale watch, Trans Alpine rail trip or Akaroa dolphins as possible alternatives.
Saturday 25th – Sunday 26th South Island National Daffodil Show
Monday 27th return home or begin an extended tour visiting local daffodil growers, prize winning gardens and maybe through to Nelson. This section will depend on numbers interested. Home stays with local Horticultural and Daffodil Society members is another option.
Saturday October 1st Woodend Spring Flower Show. Our end of season show with a special country atmosphere.
Aaron and I are planning to be in Minneapolis next year with a more detailed itinerary and to better gauge people’s interests.
