First Flowers Downunder

This year most of the tazettas were planted early, shaded, and watered. In spite of high temperatures one seedling 14_05T has flowered earlier than any daffodil has flowered here. It is a clear outlier and it will be interesting to see if it is consistent. It looks as if it passes this characteristic on to its seedlings. There will be daffodils flowering here from now until at least October.

 

This was taken on January 26th when the temperature reached 41.5C

Meanwhile at Yass the dam is almost empty.
