Today, David Adams alerted me to the fact that Daffnet mailing list members were not receiving Post and Comment reminder messages.
Both Mary Lou Gripshover and Becky Fox Matthews had reported problems posting to Daffnet in the past three weeks, but I did not see a reason to suspect the mailing list software.
The Daffnet mailing list was not working because of a secure server certificate mismatch between Daffnet and the mail server. This triggered an error that caused the odd Daffnet posting behavior and prevented email from going out to our mailing list members.
Unfortunately any existing Daffnet posts will not be sent out because the reminder messages are triggered when someone “Publishes” a post or comment. If you normally only view Daffnet via email, please visit https://daffnet.org/ to see the many postings since March 7, 2019.
