2019 Kentucky Daffodil and Bulb Society (KDABS) Show

Hello Friends

The KDABS show (Held on Saturday April 6th), now in it’s 3rd year as the former Kentucky Daffodil Society (which was put on my Hilda Dunnaway, Helen Trueblood and others) was held in the George Rogers Clark high school in Winchester Kentucky, it’s usual venue. The very large windows in the cafeteria suits the show very well. The season was perfect for Mike & Lisa Kuduk as I don’t know of any other show where 1 exhibitor had entered so many blooms. The highlights were an all pink Bozie and and all W-Y trumpet 5 stem for the purple ribbon. Also, Mike and Lisa have resurrected an original local trophy of 10 white daffodils from 3 divisions which they also won in this show.

It was an amazing show. Photos below. Sorry I didn’t get all the flower names in the larger collections, but some of them are visible in the photos.

The Youth Challenge Winner was a nice stem of Bravoure, exhibited by Morgan Otte.

The White Ribbon Winner for the best 3 stem entry of standard daffodils in the show. Exhibited by Carolyn Cutshall.
