Identity for possible Historic

Dear all,

Below is a request  from the Salt Lake City area.  These are daffodils his mother and grandmother grew. See  photos of the daffodils in question.  Below is additional information provided by requestor.

Thank you in advance for your help!

“I asked my Mother again today.  She said she does not remember them being planted in the 1960’s.  She feels they must have been planted in the 1950’s.  My Grandmother’s brother owned a nursery during the 1950’s and 1960’s.  It is likely the bulbs came from him.”

“I have asked my mother, and she does not know when the daffodils were planted.  If I had to guess, I would say the 1950’s, but I am not certain about that.  For certain they were there from 1970 forward.

Since I wrote to you, I received a reply to a request I emailed to Van Englen, Inc.  Their horticulturalist wrote back and said she believes the variety is April Queen (Holland, 1938).  The flowers look similar, however there is a yellow tint to the petals on my Mother’s daffodils.  The petals on the April Queen appear to be 100% white.”
Sincerely,
