2020 Livermore Show – Miniature Daffodil Awards

Here are the winners of ADS awards for miniature daffodils at the 2020 Livermore daffodil show.  As usual, we’ll go through the award in the order in which they appear on the official show report. If an award is not mentioned, it means there were no entries, the award was not given, or the award was not offered.

Miniature Gold Ribbon Winner

Miniature Gold Ribbon Winner

The Miniature Gold Ribbon is for the best miniature daffodil in the show excluding the container-grown entries. The winner was ‘Pilgrim Kirby’ 10Y-Y exhibited by Kirby Fong. This is an unregistered cultivar from Keira Bulbs in Australia.

The Miniature Rose Ribbon is for the best miniature seedling daffodil in the show excluding the container-grown section. The winner was seedling 12-015-1 5O-R exhibited by Harold Koopowitz and Marilynn Howe.

The Miniature White Ribbon is for the best set of three miniatures in the show. The winner was N. jonquilla 13Y-Y exhibited by Bob Spotts.

The best miniature grown and shown in a container was ‘Oxford Gold’ 10Y-Y exhibited by Steve Hampson.

Lavender and Miniature Red-White-Blue Ribbons Winner

The Miniature Red-White-Blue Ribbon is awarded to the best collection of 5 American-bred miniature daffodils. In this case, the entry also won the Lavender Ribbon for the best collection of 5 miniatures. The flowers in the winning collection are:
12-038-2 8W-Y, 03-016-4 8W-W, 05-036-1 5Y-Y, 03-019-1 12W-P, 08-053-1 8Y-W.
