Help with oddball poet

The attached poet is from a old garden with scads of Ornatus, however some of the bulbs look like this

What the heck is going on ??

I have images from 2014 of the same phenomenon; I don’t know if its the same patch within the planting or not however

  1. Tons 0f pollen, Sara. Who knows what trend in daffodil inventing you could become famous for. Maybe Division 15 Tripetalate.. Sorry to be no help with the actual question.
