Invitation to ADS Membership Meeting!
The American Daffodil Society (ADS) annual Spring Membership Meeting will be held ~ via ZOOM on Friday, February 26, 6:00 pm, USA Eastern Time Zone.
Official notice of the Annual Membership Meeting of the American Daffodil Society was rendered in the December 2020 edition of The Daffodil Journal. In the interest of protecting our health and safety, the meeting will be held via ZOOM as part of the 2021 Virtual ADS National Convention: Reach for the Stars.
Registrants for the 2021 Virtual ADS National Convention will receive access credentials to attend the ‘2021 Virtual ADS Membership Meeting’. We will do our best to send the access link and pass code 2 hours prior to the start of each meeting. Check your inbox and SPAM folders for this important information.
ADS LIVE Verbal Auction!
After the ADS Membership Meeting we will momentarily transition your ZOOM session and take a very short break. Don’t go anywhere folks ~ “BECAUSE IT MUST BE 5:00 SOMEWHERE”! Show us your adult beverage and please enjoy this open, social interactive time! No recordings here – just FUN! Virtually visit with other daffodilians – while we prepare for the LIVE VERBAL BULB AUCTION coming up @ 7:00 pm.
Join us on Friday, February 26, 7:00 pm, USA Eastern Time Zone for the ADS LIVE VERBAL AUCTION! Our Auctioneer will be Janet Hickman of Lynchburg, VA, her assistant will be Jack Hollister of Starkville, MS. Grab your favorite libation and join us for a lively and fun auction of some very desirable daffodil bulbs! Janet has curated the bulbs for both the “silent” and verbal auctions. ADS trusts you will be very generous in all your bids as you support our work as a nonprofit, educational organization!
Donations for Silent Auction!
We are using the public auction site of eBay.com for our ADS Silent Auction. We want to reach-out to all daffodil enthusiasts across the Internet. For this eBay Auction, we are interested in offering collectible daffodil items such as books, artwork, jewelry, china, etc.—all those tempting objects featuring our favorite flower.

The ADS ONLINE DAFFODIL AUCTION BEGINS ON eBay at 2:00 pm (Eastern Time Zone) on Sunday, March 21, 2021. This Auction closes on Sunday, March, 28, 2020. Check the listings you’re interested in for the exact time bids close on that day – it varies slightly for each listing. Please note: Any eBay member can bid at our ADS Online Daffodil Auction.
Join us for the FUN!
If you’re planning to attend the business part of the 2021 Virtual ADS National Convention, you should register for the fun parts too! We have arranged an exciting set of sessions and presenters for our Spring National Convention. Using a virtual format allows the 2021 Virtual National Convention to spread over a longer time frame, from February 25 through May 1, and offers a variety of presenters from three different continents.
Our early bird registration deadline is February 20, and submission of Photography Show entries begins on February 21. Check out the full Schedule of Activities and Register TODAY!

- A Daffodil Photography Show will be held at the 2021 Virtual National Convention. You can exhibit your own work, admire others, and vote for the Popular Choice Award!
- Becky Fox Matthews be the host of our Judges Refresher: “Daffodil Jeopardy Game”. Don’t let your daffodil judging skills be in jeopardy! Contestants need not apply in advance and non-judges are also welcome to attend. Everyone can play along! Our Virtual National Convention should be very convenient for ADS Judges to expand their judging proficiency.
