Nial Watsons Zoom presentation – Great Job Nial – Where can I buy these new varieties?????

Welcome to carters daffodils 2020  <==== link to last years offerings

Spent the morning watching Nial Watsons zoom presentation on his hybridizing efforts.  Its a noble service to the daffodil world to have someone so dedicated to creating new healthy and beautiful varieties.  I want to be the next Nial Watson and hope to be as successful as he has been.  I’ve got a few more years till I am able to introduce some of my daffodil babies.

Meanwhile –  I do sell some of Nial’s latest introductions.  Many were highlighted in his zoom presentation and many wanted to know where can you buy bulbs.  You can see what bulbs I offered in 2020 in the link above.  I am slowly building stocks in some of Nial’s bulbs here in WA state.  With luck in the ideal growing climate, the bulb stocks will increase and the prices will come down.  Time will tell.  Every year after I dig, I put together a new offering email that daffodil nuts can purchase various varieties.  If you are interested but not currently on my email list, feel free to send me your email to title= and request to be on my email list.

I currently have available for purchase 10 or so varieties of Nial’s bulbs.  If you do not find the variety through Carters Daffodils that you just have to have, I recommend looking a Esker Farm Daffodils.  They also carry many of Nial’s bulbs that I do not offer.  I have found the bulbs I’ve ordered through Esker Farm Daffodils to be of top quality and grow quite well for me.

Great Presentation Nial !!!!!!

P.S. – For Current or Future Hybridizers.  I also freeze pollen.  It goes in and out of the freezer maybe 30 times or more a year.  I tend to throw out pollen once it gets 3 years old.  I think pollen is a bit more tolerant to freeze/thaw than Nial indicated.  It seems to be viable for at least 2 years.
