Subject: Identifying daffodil cultivar
Message Body:
Hello,
I’m a small time flower farmer on WNC. The land I farm was inherited from my MIL. I know it’s very rare but I believe I have a daffodil that I think propagated from seed. I can’t find it anywhere. I’d love to learn and connect.
I live in Hot Springs, North Carolina at about 3200 ft elevation. planting zone is 6-7.
We are currently approaching the end of our midway point of our daffodil season; with this cultivar making an appearance last week. The hill it’s on is almost completely naturalized with daffodils. My mother in law planted unusual varieties on this particular hill for 25 years (personal mission to recreate childhood memories).
Best I can tell, as I’m still relatively new to this world, is this cultivar is: division 11b W-GYO
Thanks*****
I told her I thought it looked like Dolly Mollinger

Possibly Trepelo.

My best guess would be ‘Marie Jose’
