My own show in NJ Part 3

This is the last of my show in NJ;

The Div 2 collection was also the Purple Ribbon; Back row: Dave’s Favorite 2Y-0; Banker 2Y-O; Shockwave 2Y-O:  Front row: Conestoga 2W-GYO; Pacific Rim 2Y-YYR

Pacific Rim 2Y-YYR was our White Ribbon:

My All American Red White and Blue was as follow: Back Row: Quapaw 2Y-O Higgins; Seedling 10-32 2Y-O Baradoc X Op Higgins; Taco Factory 2Y-O Higgins: Front Row: Nikki Koko 2W-GYP Higgins; Camp Nine 2W-Y Higgins

We had a seedling class that was all Higgins seedlings: Back Row: 14-42 Geometrics X Conestoga 2Y-W; 17-40 Pacific Rim X op 2Y-O; Sweet Sue X OP 3W-WWO: Front Row: 14-14 Cyros X Op 2Y-Y; 14-126 Twilight X Zone X op 2Y-YYO.

Because of lack of properties and tubes to display, I could only must a Bozie Award of 12: Back row: Taco Factory 2; Gwendelyn 3; Pacific Rim 2; New Penny 3; Cover Story 2: Front Row: Yellow Satin 2; Pink Silk 1; Higgins seedling 14-14 Goldhanger X OP 2; Windy City 1; Rapture 6; Muster 4.

This was difficult doing on my own.  There is actually more that I took but felt the were not worthy of showing.

Thanks,

Clay

  1. David,
Thanks. My daffodils had a good season here in New Jersey. LOL
unfortunately me and the camera could not alway agree. But I thought that
staging a few collections during this COVID year would help me prepare for
2022. 2020 and 2021 shows have been whipped out here in the US. It was
fun, and frustrating as staging flower always seems to be.

  2. Clay, I thought a judge could not judge their own flowers! Just kidding. Very nice displays of beautiful flowers! Thanks for sharing.

  3. Becky,
Some of us judges are not biased even when looking at flowers that they
staged or that they know the owners. LOL That’s why I didn’t post all the
collections and single stems that I took pictures of, “I didn’t want to be
laughed off daffnet by the low quality of the collections.” I know when my
    pictures/flowers are not quality :-)

  4. David, I appreciate your comments. After two years of no shows to display daffodils, it was an attempt to keep up the practice of staging for (hopefully) next year.  I had so many beautiful daffodils this year that had to sit at home because there was no shows.  I created a daffodil garden behind my house that looks sort of like this.

Not to sure I could keep up with it all this year.

Becky, thanks for the comments.  I was just having fun featuring my own named and hybridized daffodils since there was no show.  We have to laugh at ourselves once in a while to let our humor out or we will all become like Clay Higgins. :-)
