An overcast but warm Friday 2 September was Show day for the Otaki Horticultural Society .
Only 8 exhibitors but they staged an impressive 120 vases 3 and 119 singles – a colourful total of 239 stems , – plus 3 attractive pots .We welcomed exhibitors from mostly the north of our Central Daffodil Group area , – also Judge Wayne Hughes from Whanganui and Micheal Berrigan from U S A .
A repeat winner from the Hawera show , a week ago .Different flower but same exhibitor and same variety .
SHOWDOWN , 3 W – YOO , A Spud Brogden raised flower , was shown by 3 different exhibitors and we all had slightly different colouring in the cup .All had big flowers on tall , strong stems,- it should be in all exhibitors gardens .

An attractive Premier Table after a season that we have all struggled with . Far to much rain and a month of warm but overcast and wet days .
But we were all very pleased to be showing again , – enjoying the flowers and friends .
