Help with identification

Good morning

Felder Rushing is seeking a name and advice as to whether this flowering is consistent. He lives in Mississippi as does this Daffodil

no idea of the provenance of this bulb… just a home gardener who says this one always flowers on very short stem. wondering if it is something y’all have experienced in other gardens, may be a climate/environmental thing rather than genetics.

  1. Short stems happen quiet often when you have a cold snap before the come
out of the ground and bloom. If I understood Larry Force correctly you guys
    had some unusually cold weather.
We did too, I have batches of the standard RES that is only 4 or 5 inches
tall. Usually they are over a foot tall.
