Delaware Valley Daffodil Show, Devon, PA

This was my second show this week at Devon, PA. 89 miles from our home and the closet daffodil show to me.  I took some pictures and was glad to see Kathryn Andersen and Ann Donnell Smith there.

The Gold Ribbon was Kwantan 3, exhibited by Anne Donnell Smith from her winning Bozievich Award.

The mini Gold Ribbon was Little Kibler 9W-GYR exhibited by Kathryn Andersen

The Rose Ribbon was Seedling 14-315D 2Y-Y exhibited by Clay and Fran Higgins

The mini Rose Ribbon was seedling was Seedling 21-32 7Y-Y exhibited by Clay and Fran Higgins

The White Ribbon was River Queen exhibited by Martha Ann Griner

 

The mini White Ribbon was Itsy Bitsy Splitsy 11aY-O exhibited by Clay and Fran Higgins

Best Small Grower ribbon was Jetfire 6Y-O exhibited by Karen Peiffer

The best Collection of 5 Stems Intermediate Daffodils was exhibited by Anne Donnell Smith.  This was the big winner, not only winning the 5 stems intermediate, but also the best intermediate in the show with Hot Chilli 2O-O that is in the middle of the collection, but to not stop there, the collection also won the Purple Ribbon.  From Left: Dinkie 3W-GRY, Birthday Girl 2W-GWW,Hot Chilli 2O-O, Pogo 2W-GYO, Scarlet Tanager 2Y-R.

Best Historic Collection of 5 was exhibited by Dan Greenwood.

I was able to update the posting by adding the names of Ann Donnell Smith’s Purple Ribbon that was also the Best Intermediate collection of 5, and contained the best intermediate Hot Chilli 2O-O. Click on the original post to see the names. My apologies to Ann Donnell Smith. After the paper became dry I was able to make out the names with a little help from Daffseek.

  2. I’ve had to to another update on the Devon, Pa show of the Delaware Valley Daffodil Society show.
    The Gold Ribbon, Kwantan 3 exhibited by Anne Donnell Smith was from her winning Bozievich Award. Not the Quinn as I first stated.
    The best Historic Collection of 5 was exhibited by Dan Greenwood. Not Don Cation as I first stated.
