A visit to Tony Davis’s home and daffodil patch at Quindalup Farm

Hi

A few members of the Daffodil Association of NSW and the ACT were fortunate enough to visit Tony Davis and Maureen Purtel’s home in Bowral and Tony’s daffodil patch at Quindalup Farm. I gather there is a third site where he also has seedlings. I know he grows some nice Division 6 hybrids but I did not see any of these today so I am assuming he has them growing at his third site. I was a bearer of gifts as I brought with me one of our 1Apricot Pink/ Apricot Pink flowers that he expressed a desire to use as a pollen parent. Our seedling is not of good form but it is all apricot pink.

I was surprised to see some top quality early flowering poeticus hybrids. One of them looked miniature in size.

Some of my photos are part of this post.
