blooming in Ohio

Friends,
Attached is a photo of the seedling I sent several days ago as it was just opening.  It has “grown up” some to show the scalloping along the edge of the cup.  It’s from seed from Lawrence Trevanion from one of his open pollinated hybrids.

  1. Hi Mary Lou,
Your bulbocodium is one of the most exquisite flowers I have ever seen. As bulbocodiums often do not stick around for more than one season, I would self it and put its pollen on any other bulbocodium you have in bloom. It is sad there is no show today, I am sure it would win the Rose and Gold Ribbons.

  2. Hi Marilynn,
Thanks to you, and to all who made such nice comments about the white seedling.  But all credit goes to Lawrence Trevanion, since it was open pollinated seed from his 01/18B 10 W-W.  I hope it will be happy here, but I’ll use the pollen on something in any case.
