Blooming November 15 in Livermore

It being a fairly slow daffodil period in both hemispheres, I thought I’d post photos of the three daffodils in bloom yesterday in my back yard.

N. miniatus 13W-O

N. miniatus 13W-O

I hope this is correctly named.  I got it as Narcissus miniatus in 2006 from the ADS Species Conservation Committee. I think most specimens are single floreted, but this one has two florets.

Green Gosling 7G-G

Green Gosling 7G-G

‘Green Gosling’ is one of Harold Koopowitz’s cultivars.  This specimen has a fourth floret that hasn’t opened yet. The color is the grayish green typical of N. viridiflorus.

Verdant Sparks 7G-G

Verdant Sparks 7G-G

‘Verdant Sparks’ is another of Harold’s cultivars. Florets are about an inch in diameter. The color is a yellowish green.
