Digital photos put on coffee mugs

Sandy and I double dipped last week combining a mini vacation by going to help with a Bluebird convention and then going on to help with the Missouri daffodil meeting there in St. Louis. These coffee mugs could be used as special gifts or as awards or what ever and use photos of various daffodils. KK

Here are some photos of coffee mugs from Missouri Bluebird Society meeting. One of their members uses high quality digital photography and then transfers these images onto the ceramic cups….They sell these to make money for their group. Although most of these were of birds since this was a “birding group” he also does or can do any photo…

I thought the wildflower mug and the iris mug were just outstanding. Not sure the beauty of these come through in smaller photo sizes.

Anyway think about the possibilities now for creating a unique collection of coffee mugs along ANY type of flower or butterfly that you can imagine…..

I am sure that a simple search on the internet could turn up multiple companies that are putting these out. I visited with the man who was producing these and he is always looking for a “new” product line for various “groups” for folks who would be interested in something like this.

  1. Keith……………they are lovely. Why not a series of Daffodil mugs from each division? They could be available at the ADS conventions for fundraising. The possibilities are endless. Remember some years ago Elise and Dick Havens had a series of notecards of some of their cultivars. Thanks for showing these for us.

  2. Hi Daffnetters

we’ve just returned from three weeks holidaying along the eastern Australian coast driving from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast and then flying up to Cairns to explore that area. Several of the National Park visitor centre shops stocked similar mugs along with ceramic teabag holders and small rectangular plates all adorned with indigeneous plants, animals or birds. Of course I bought some as they are so light to carry home in a suitcase. A series on Daffodils would be equally attractive. A great idea.
