Fall ADS Event in Tucson, Arizona

Is the Grand Canyon on your Bucket List? The Grand Canyon is only a five-hour scenic drive from Tucson, Arizona and the American Daffodil Society’s Fall Board meeting this coming October 18-20.

This years’ event has been planned by Chriss Rainey and will highlight Tucson’s desert scenery, flora and fauna. We hope some of you will join us, as each ADS Fall event is a great excuse to gather with daffodil friends! You can find more information in the June Daffodil Journal on page 278. Make your travel plans to arrive for dinner at 7:00 on Friday night. After the Board meeting on Saturday (optional for non-Board members, but anyone is welcome to attend) there will be tour with a tram ride to the top of Sabino Canyon, anatural desert oasis located in Tucson’s Coronado National Forest and home to spectacular desert landscapes and abundant wildlife.” You can get on and off the tram at any or all of the nine stops and hike if you like. Sunday will feature a trip to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, a world-renowned zoo, natural history museum and botanical garden where “you will see more than 300 animal species and 1,200 kinds of plants…with 2 miles of paths traversing 21 acres of beautiful desert.”
