It has been an idyllic spring here with mild temperatures and regular rain. This has made the last flower very late indeed: – a species poeticus grown from seed from Steve Vinisky. It is very much later that all the other daffodils here.
It is the Canberra Hort. Society’s Rose Show this weekend so I will enter the flower even though it has been a little bit nibbled. This will mean in-season daffodils have been entered in all 4 shows this year – a circumstance that is unlikely to occur very often.
