N. lagoi

The first pseudonarcissus species for the season is tiny N. lagoi.

Put into a head of frost bitten Gramonella gives a better idea of its scale.

Gramonella lagoi cyclamineus

One of the tazettas, sad though it is, is very interesting. Cyclamineus x tazetta seem to like each other and give robust if sterile seedlings. This one looks ideal for such a cross. Needless to say it is bred from Bill Welch’s Autumn Colors.

Another oddity is Gold Step x triandrus (concolor). Bulbocodiums and triandrus seem to like each other but not so much in this case. It looks like it may have a rare grain of fertile pollen so hopefully something will come of it.
