New Display Garden: Robbins-Hunter Museum

Here is an invitation for those interested.

Please note the address for this new Display Garden:

Robbins-Hunter Museum
PO Box 183
Granville, OH 43023

Ann’s email address and phone number are listed below.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, volunteers, and members of the Robbins Hunter Museum, I want to let you know how thrilled we are with the designation of our Jill Griesse Historic Garden as an ADS Display Garden.  We are planning a very special weekend on April 14-15 to celebrate and to bring public recognition to both the ADS and to our garden at the museum.  It is our hope that someone or several someones representing ADS will be able to attend our event.

At noon on April 14, we plan a ceremony to dedicate the Jill Harms Griesse Historic Garden at RHM.  It is free and open to the public.  On both Saturday and Sunday, the Granville Garden Club will host its 73rd annual daffodil show and sale at nearby Bryn Du Mansion.  On Saturday evening, Brent will speak on all things daffodil. We anticipate the Griesse garden to be filled with a glorious bloom of hundreds of daffodils. And our partner, the Granville Garden Club will be hosting its 73rd Daffodil Show and Sale at nearby Bryn Du mansion on both the 14th and the 15th. We hope that ADS appropriate signage will have been installed by this time and that someone representing the society can be on hand to give a short talk or at least be recognized.

Please call me or email title=   to discuss.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Ann

  1. I hope some of you will be able to make these events.  The non-competition show is sure to have many fine arrangements  displayed in a historic mansion.  While I have nothing special planned at the farm, any of you visiting are welcome to contact me for a visit to the fields (5 miles from the museum), which many of you will remember from the Columbus convention visit here, features mainly historics…and now many more of them.  That and the girls who were babies then are now 5 years old and eager daffodil lovers.  Please feel free to contact me at  — I’m phasing out my old email address.

I have no official connection to either the museum or the Garden Club but Ann who wrote the invitation is a wonderful person to work with and I’m sure can answer any questions on the events.   I did see a P.O. Box is listed as the garden location — it is a few doors from the post office, but the actual Jill Greisse ADS garden is at 221 East Broadway.  (And my office almost directly across the street).

    The museum’s page is: http://www.robbinshunter.org/
and for the show’s venue:  https://bryndu.com/
